Lessons Learned This Week

It is much easier to bring a cat to a groomer in order to have his massively thick fur shaved, than to try to do it yourself.

It is much better to realize this fact before spending an hour trying to shave your cat.

You are brave! I would never dream of shaving a cat (or dog) myself. They get all squirmy and annoyed at you. I'd rather have my dog annoyed at the groomer than me.

At least it is a lesson learned and the cat can go directly to the groomer next time.

I must admit, the image of you trying to shave the cat made me giggle!

Post a picture, if you will.

A picture? But that would be so humiliating for him!

Oriana: I am lucky it was Big Orange Fluffy and not my cat, because my cat would have been annoyed after one minute and tried to bite me, whereas Big Orange Fluffy is quite mellow, and didn't try to bite me once.

I saw him after his professional cat.... he definately wont be over heated for the rest of the summer! The entire incident obviously didnt hurt his ego or self-image (or whatever other word I am trying to think of that isn't coming at this time)this is evident to me because I had never seen him before...and today with his new haircut I saw him....

Did you do i outside, or did you have to "mop up" after?

Outside... that would've been a good idea. No, I did it in the bathroom, which is tile so it's easy to sweep up.
