Corn

Tonight I ate corn that went straight from Olive's garden to the stove. That is fresh. It was the most delicious corn I have ever tasted. Wow. It was so juicy, it was dribbling down my chin (of course, that could also have been due to the water it was boiled in and the butter I slathered on, but still...). My mouth is salivating just thinking about it.

Too bad I was too chicken to go pick more ears later--I made Olive pick it all herself. It's unfortunate that corn fields are the setting for so many frightening and disturbing scenes in movies (Signs, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, The Stand, Field of Dreams, and The X-Files, to name a few). That and I don't like bugs. I mean, I don't like bugs that are alive and on me. Especially pincher bugs.

I'm trying really hard to find a comment that uses the word "corny" in an appropriate way, but it eludes me.

Since when is field of dreams disturbing? I haven't seen it in swhile but I don't recall it being so.... but I do love fresh picked vege's of all sorts and I don't like putting butter on vege's not only does it take away from it's nutritional value but I am not a big butter person to begin with... but I am glad it was good for you!
